Easter Lymington Regatta
Don’t forget the annual “Iron Man”, around the cans in the Solent! Team Racing on Good Friday and fleet racing Saturday, Sunday and Monday. More importantly, perhaps, it’s Yarmouth on Friday night, the Club with a late bar on Saturday and the infamous Pimms party on Sunday. More details here, accomodation list here.
Message from the Chairman
Dear all Firefly Sailors
As I’m sure you know by now this years National Championships is to be held at Brixham YC in Devon between the 26th July and the 1st August. These dates are now less than 4 months away so it’s time to get moving if you want to attend the best weeks sailing of the year.
The format will be essentially be the same as that of the phenomenally successful 2012 Championships at Hamble i.e. 9 points races, lots of evening entertainment and a mix of gate and line starts. Innovations this year will include a champagne reception and prizegiving immediately following the Gore and Marlow races on the Wednesday and the return of the Games night! Competitors aged from 10 to 70 competed at Hamble so whether you are young or old there’s no excuse not to sail!
To make sure you’re present at Brixham, undertake the following actions now!
first Vines Traveller series Open of the year at Tamesis on the River Thames (April 13th)
Lymington Easter Regatta (3 boat Team racing 18th April; fleet racing, 19th to 21st April)
Felixstowe Open (May 3rd/4th)
